Electric water heater heating elements
The core heating accessory of the storage-type electric water heater is the built-in electric heating tube (also known as the heating rod), which is composed of a resistance wire (nickel-chromium alloy), an insulating layer (magnesium oxide powder) and a metal shell (stainless steel or copper). Its working principle is: the current passes through the resistance wire to generate Joule heat, which is transmitted to the shell through the insulating layer to directly heat the water in the water tank.
Key features:
Common power is 1500-3000W, the higher the power, the faster the heating; the stainless steel shell has strong corrosion resistance, and the copper shell conducts heat faster but the cost is high; after long-term use, the inner wall of the water tank is prone to scale and needs to be cleaned regularly; the water tank capacity is 40-80L, which is suitable for continuous water use by multiple people in the family, but it needs to be preheated in advance and occupies a large space (diameter 50-70cm).
Solar water heater heating elements

Working logic:

The core of the instant electric water heater is the integrated heating module (heating body), which is composed of a high-power heating tube (nickel-chromium alloy or copper tube), a fin/flow channel structure and a temperature control system, which heats the water flowing through it in a short time with high power.
Technical highlights:
Power 6000-12000W (far exceeding the water storage type), it is necessary to match independent wires of more than 4 square millimeters and leakage protection devices to ensure electricity safety; the heating tube is physically isolated from the water flow channel (such as the insulation layer of the copper tube jacket) to avoid the risk of leakage; the built-in temperature sensor and electronic temperature control chip can adjust the heating power in real time (such as automatically reducing the power when the water temperature is too high) to prevent dry burning or scalding;
